Case Field #3, 2002

Please view pictures and give me your comments, suggestions

Southeast Carroll County
Crop - Soybean
V-Stage - 4
Previous Crop - Corn
Tillage - V-Ripped last fall, field cultivated this spring
Pursuit+ Herbicide applied this spring
16,000+ gallons (sow) hog manure applied 13 months ago
Entire field has sever compaction problem at about 2 inches from last year's manure application (I was in the same field last year analyzing stunted corn from the compaction)

Symptomology
Plants are stunted and exhibit growth regulator type herbicide injury on the newest leaves.  The growing point in the most severe plants appears to be dead.  The stunting runs with the row and can be 1-foot to 20-feet in length, single rows and multiple rows.  Could not find a pattern to fill all spots.  The symptomology is present across the entire 80 acres with about 20% of the field being affected.
