Please view pictures and give me your comments, suggestions
Southeast Carroll County
No-Till Corn
Previous Crop = RR Soybean
Deep tilled (15 inches) last fall
Herbicides: 120 lb nitrogen with Roundup and Dual (1/2 rate) at planting
Steadfast + Callisto postemergence
Insecticide: Force T-Band at planting
This is a 20 acre field with stunted and chlorotic plants throughout most of
the field. The stunting was evident before the postemergence herbicide
application was made. There is obvious soil compaction problems
(pronounced line where field was not deep-tilled) across much of the field.
Root disease was also a factor in some (but not all) of the stunted corn.
Grasshopper were very thick and feeding on the corn.
