Iowa Observes Farm Health and Safety Week

AMES, Iowa -- The National Safety Council has designated Sept. 19-25 as National Farm Safety and Health Week. The group has chosen "Agricultural Safety & Health: Yields for a Lifetime" as this year's national theme.

Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack has designated Sept. 22 as Iowa Farm Safety and Health Day for Children and Youth.

Iowa State University Extension staff work year round with other organizations to promote agriculture safety practices in the state. Below is a collection of resources from ISU Extension and other organizations working to make Iowa farms safer.
