2004 Ag Chemical Dealer Updates

AMES, Iowa - An Ag Chemical Dealer Update will be held in (See list below). With crop production changing at a rapid pace, new products, label revisions, regulatory requirements and soil nutrient recommendations are just some of the items you need to stay up-to-date on to better serve your customers. The Ag Chemical Dealer Updates (ACDU) are designed to do just that.

The ACDUs are intended to deliver the latest crop production recommendations, news and information directly from Iowa State University (ISU) Extension. Each location features updates on weed, insect, crop disease and soil nutrient management brought to you by ISU experts. Meetings will review the positives and negatives of the 2004 growing season and prepare seed, chemical, and fertilizer dealers, crop consultants, farm managers and agronomists for the challenges of the 2005 crop production year.

Each of the 11 meetings is also a convenient way to obtain continuing education units for Certified Crop Advisers, as well as recertification for commercial ag pesticide applicators in categories 1A, 1B, 1C and 10.

The registration fee is $40 for each location until seven days before the meeting date. Late registration or registration at the door is $60. There is an additional $10 fee for those needing pesticide applicator recertification credits.

Participants can view the brochure and register online with a credit card at http://www.aep.iastate.edu. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to be notified of Agribusiness Education Program events email your information to aep@iastate.edu or call (515) 294-6429.
