The other courses will be offered on the Iowa State University campus or the Scheman Building.

"We are proud to support the continuing education of Iowa school foodservice managers," says Dan Henroid, faculty member and extension specialist in the Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management program at Iowa State University. "Budget issues in many school districts and increased scrutiny of school menus related to the increased prevalence of overweight adolescents are focusing more attention on school meal programs. School foodservice managers need training and support more than ever to address these issues."

School foodservice summer short courses were first offered in 1948 by Iowa State University and are offered annually by ISU and the Iowa Department of Education.
