Iowa Pork Industry Center Has New Web Address

AMES, Iowa - People looking for information on the Iowa Pork Industry Center (IPIC) and its commitment to helping Iowa pork producers should check out the center's new Internet address at http://www.ipic.iastate.edu/.

IPIC director John Mabry said the new URL is shorter and should be easier to remember.

"Helping people reach our site quicker is a positive move," Mabry said. "And, maintaining the Iowa State portion of the URL keeps our connection with the university right up front."

Mabry encouraged IPIC Web site users to change their bookmarks or favorites listing to the new URL as soon as possible.

IPIC was established in 1994 as a coordinated effort of the colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. Its mission is to promote efficient pork production technologies in Iowa, maintain Iowa's pork industry leadership and strengthen rural development efforts. IPIC focuses its efforts on programs that are integral and complementary to ISU Extension. Through IPIC, Iowa producers receive accurate and timely information to make their operations more efficient and profitable.
