AMES, Iowa - More than 250 Iowa 4-H'ers competed in the seventh annual 4-H Youth Horse Jamboree April 9-11 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Several winners will represent Iowa 4-H at the 2005 Denver Horse Classic in January.

The jamboree features contests based on equine knowledge and skills and is sponsored by the Iowa Horse Industry Council, Iowa State University Extension 4-H Youth Development and the Iowa 4-H Foundation.

The 2004 winners who will represent Iowa in Denver include the top hippology and quiz bowl teams as well as top individuals in both the demonstration and public speaking events.
