5/29/03 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contacts: New ISU Extension Publications Available on Animal Agriculture and Air Quality Three new Iowa State University Extension publications on animal agriculture and air quality are now available. "Being the leader in both egg and swine production in the nation, it is natural for Iowa State University to play a leading role in the region and beyond in addressing animal feeding operation-related air quality issues," said Hongwei Xin, professor, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. "This helps ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of our livestock and poultry operations." Gaseous Emissions from Animal Agriculture, (PM 1935) discusses types of emissions from livestock facilities, causes of emissions and how these emissions move or disperse.
