4/3/03 For Immediate Release Contacts: Nonprofit Management Institute Offered in Clinton AMES, Iowa--A Nonprofit Management Institute, sponsored by Iowa State University, University of Illinois Extension and the Clinton United Way, will begin April 15 in Clinton, Iowa. The institute will focus on enhancing the management skills of those in the nonprofit sector. "The Nonprofit Management Institute incorporates various areas related to the nonprofit sector -- everything from governance and strategic planning to marketing and fundraising," said Krishna Das, program coordinator. "Anyone seeking professional development in the area of nonprofit management is invited to participate in these courses." Institute participants may enroll in individual classes or in a program leading to a certificate in nonprofit management. Participants may choose from nine different courses to be offered each month beginning April 15 and running through December. To earn a certificate, an individual must complete any combination of classes totaling six continuing education units. All courses cost $40. Any of the six continuing education units are available at an additional cost of $10. Classes are offered at the Holiday Inn Express, 2800 S. 25th St, Clinton.
