Iowa 4-H Members To Attend National 4-H Congress in Atlanta
AMES, Iowa -- Twenty-six Iowa 4-H members will attend the 81st annual National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Nov. 29 to Dec. 3.
Iowa's delegates to the National 4-H Congress are chosen for their leadership, citizenship and overall achievement in the 4-H program. National delegates, who represent all 50 states, will attend workshops on leadership and cultural diversity and conduct a community service project in the Atlanta area. This year the delegates also will discuss ways to locally implement recommendations from the National 4-H Centennial Conversations on Youth Development. The conversations were initiated as a part of the 4-H centennial.
Rhonda Christensen, Iowa State University (ISU) Extension education director for Buena Vista County, and Jim Patton, ISU Extension education director for Webster County, will accompany the youth.

Lee Beck, 17, of Buckingham, is a senior at Union High School and the son of Louis and Pat Beck.
Elizabeth Bentley, 18, of Minden, is a senior at Riverside High School and the daughter of Keith and Susan Bentley.
Courtney Blake, 16, of Walnut, is a junior at Atlantic High School and the daughter of Roger and Gerri Blake.
Jenna Bristle, 18, of Ogden, is a senior at Ogden High School and the daughter of Ron and Karla Bristle.
Daniel DeHaan, 17, of Otley, is a senior at Pella Community High School and the son of Doug and LuAnn DeHaan.
Dan Determan, 16, of Early, is a junior at Schaller-Crestland High School and the son of Steve and Barb Determan.
Allyson Dierenfeld, 16, of Northwood, is a junior at Northwood-Kensett High School and the daughter of Mike and Joan Dierenfeld.
Kari Entriken, 17, of Webster City, is a senior at Webster City High School and the daughter of David and Cheryll Entriken.
Blake Henely, 17, of Lake Mills, is a junior at Lake Mills High School and the son of Kirk and Linda Henely.
Nicholas Hovey, 17, of Northwood, is a junior at Northwood-Kensett High School and the son of Larry and Donna Hovey.

Young Lee, 16, of Seoul, South Korea, is a junior at Webster City High School and the daughter of Kwan and Miok Lee. Her guardians are Tom and Pat Rittscher of Webster City.
