The event will be held rain or shine. Registration starts promptly at
4:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m., courtesy of the Marshall County
Cattlemen. Door prizes will be awarded at the end of the event. Animal disease control is vital for successful livestock production.
The threat of animal disease, both foreign and domestic, mandates that
we address issues of bio-security for field days. If you have traveled
to a foreign country or an area of the United States that was diagnosed
or quarantined with an outbreak of animal disease within the last 7 days,
please do not attend this event. Directions to the farm from the town of Rhodes: Go 2 miles south on Canfield
Avenue, 1 mile west on 320th Street and 1/2 mile South to the farm office
area. From Highway 330: Go 1/2 mile north on Binford Avenue or 1 mile
west on 320th Street and 1/2 mile south to the farm office. For more field day information, you may contact your local ISU Extension county office, John Kennicker, crops field specialist, at (515) 382-6551, or Ron Sealock, superintendent, Rhodes Research and Demonstration Farm, at (641) 493-2653, or see Web sites: http://www.ag.iastate.edu/farms/fielddays.html or http://www.ag.iastate.edu/farms/rhodes.html -30- ml: isufarm |
