12/16/02 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contacts: Crop Advantage Series Offered by Iowa State University Extension The 2003 Crop Advantage Series, offered by Iowa State University Extension, offers nine conferences in January and February. The workshops offer producers and agri-business professionals an opportunity to learn more about major issues facing agriculture and collect unbiased, research-based information to help them make better business decisions. The keynote topics are "Impact of the 2002 Farm Bill on Crop Management Decisions" and "Bean Leaf Beetle & Bean Pod Mottle Virus: Double Trouble for Soybean." The remaining topics vary by location to address local agricultural issues, research and management practices. There is a cost to attend each workshop and in most cases pre-registration is encouraged. Most of the workshops will offer continuing education credits for Certified Crop Advisors. There is an additional fee of $25 for CCA credits. Below are the dates, locations and contact information for each workshop.
