2/23/01 Contacts: Water Quality Conference Set for March 5-7 AMES, Iowa - The 2001 Water Quality Conference is set for March 5-7 at the Scheman Building located on the Iowa State University campus. This year's theme is Agriculture and the Environment: State and Federal Water Initiatives. Key topics include programs and current research for total maximum daily loads, nutrient loading and nutrient criteria, animal feeding operations and source water protection. Registration forms can be accessed at: http://extension.agron.iastate.edu/aged/water_quality/MainWQ/wqm.htm. Cost for the program is $55 if postmarked before Feb. 26 and $65 after.
