Ames, Iowa -- More than 300 Iowa 4-H members participated in the fifth annual 4-H Youth Horse Jamboree, held April 7 and 8 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Several of the winners will represent Iowa 4-H at the 2002 Denver Horse Classic in January.

The jamboree is sponsored by the Iowa Horse Industry Council, Iowa State University Extension 4-H Youth Development and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. It features a series of contests that give youths an opportunity to demonstrate their equine knowledge and skills.
