Attend the Mosquito/Public Health Pest Management CIC on Nov. 13

AMES, Iowa -- Ames will serve as a site for the Nov. 13, 2000, Mosquito/Public Health Pest Management continuing instructional course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators. The course will be held at the Scheman Building at Iowa State University. Topics to be covered include mosquito management in Iowa, calibration and safe application techniques, pesticide labels and safety, a review of mosquito and tickborne diseases and laws and regulations.

The course will meet from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with registration opening at 8:30 a.m. The registration fee is $25 on or before Nov. 7 and $30 after Nov. 7. The 2000 CIC course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 7D, 8 and 10.
