2/22/00 Contacts: Pease Receives Aldo Leopold Award AMES, Iowa -- Jim Pease, Iowa State University Extension wildlife specialist and assistant professor in animal ecology, has been awarded the Aldo Leopold Environmental Education Award through the Iowa Conservation Education Council's award program. The award is presented to either individuals or organizations who demonstrate exemplary service in environmental education including years of service, accomplishments and service to community or state organizations. Pease received the award based on his talents as an educator and a leader in environmental education. Pease serves the people of Iowa through his extension position as a member of the ISU faculty, and has shared his talents regionally, nationally and internationally, including efforts that have benefited Russia, Costa Rica and Australia. Pease is a Burlington native. |
