4-H Horse Leaders Training Session Scheduled

AMES, Iowa -- 4-H horse project leaders are invited to attend a training session Feb. 29 and March 21. The program will be offered over the Iowa Communications Network, and will run from 7 to 9 p.m. both evenings. It will originate from the Iowa State University campus.

The February 29 session will focus on age-appropriate activities, opportunities at the Iowa Horse Fair, resource materials for project meetings and a sneak preview of the ethics videotape. The March 21 session will include the 2000 Iowa State Fair rule changes, a preview of the helmet videotape, identification and leasing rules, ideas to motivate youth and parents and shared ideas from horse project leaders.
