1/27/99 Contacts: Stumpf Receives National 4-H Scholarship AMES, Iowa -- Nicolle Stumpf, Rockwell City, received a National 4-H Fashion Revue Scholarship Nov. 26 in Atlanta. Stumpf was recognized at a special ceremony for fashion revue participants during National 4-H Congress. The $1,500 scholarship is sponsored by Jo-Ann Stores, Inc., and The Home Sewing Association. Stumpf was one of four scholarship recipients. She was selected to represent Iowa at the national revue based on her performance at the 1999 Iowa State Fair. During the National 4-H Congress Stumpf participated in a Cozy Coat workshop, in which the revue participants made and donated coats to the Carrie Steele Pitts Home for Children in the Atlanta area. She also attended a panel discussion on careers in the sewing and fashion industry and attended an industry tour in the Atlanta area. |
