MEDIA ADVISORY -- NEWS CONFERENCE
Media Advisory: ISU Economist to Report Farmland Values on Dec. 20
A news conference to announce the results of the 2000 Iowa Farmland Value Survey conducted at Iowa State University is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20.
Michael Duffy, ISU Extension economist who directs the survey, will announce survey results at the news conference. He also will be available after the news conference for phone interviews at (515) 294-3000.
The news conference will be in Room 204 of the Scheman Continuing Education Building, just west of Hilton Coliseum at the ISU Center in Ames. Parking is available on the north side of the Scheman Building.
A printed news release with data from all 99 counties and state maps will be available. Duffy also will have background material. A mult-box will be available for media representatives who want to tape the news conference.
Land value survey data from 1994-1999 is available on ISU Extension's web site at www.extension.iastate.edu under the publications link. The site also has a link to yearly data back to 1950. The 2000 information will be posted on Dec. 20.
A news release on the 2000 survey results and a table with data for all 99 Iowa counties will be released to the media through The Link at 10 a.m. Dec. 20.
