Iowa State University Extension received the "Distinguished Leadership" Venture Award recognizing significant contributions to economic development in Iowa. C. J. Niles, director of the Iowa Department of Economic Development, presented the award on behalf of the Iowa Area Development Group (IADG). Rand Fisher, IADG president, said, "We believe the leadership and service of Iowa State University Extension exemplifies a strong commitment to business and industry, communities and the general citizenry of our state."
