Mosquito/Public Health Pest Management CIC Set for Nov. 16
AMES, Iowa -- Ames will serve as a site for the Nov. 16, 1999, Mosquito/Public Health Pest Management continuing instructional course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators. The course will be held at the Scheman Building at Iowa State University. Topics to be covered include mosquito management, effects of pesticides on humans and on nontarget sites, pesticide labels and safety and laws and regulations.
The course will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with registration opening at 8:30 a.m. The registration fee is $25 on or before Nov. 10 and $30 after Nov. 10. The 1999 CIC course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 7D, 8 and 10.
