4-H Auction Features Williamsburg Golf Vacation

AMES, Iowa &endash; That dream golf vacation is distinctive among auction items for the Iowa 4-H Foundation auction July 19.

Imagine a week on the links in Virginia as part of a five-star golf vacation that includes a 7-day, 7-night stay at Marriott's Manor club in Williamsburg plus six free rounds of golf at Ford's Colony Country Club (54 holes).

This vacation, valued at $2,500, will be a featured auction item for the annual "Going for the Green" 4-H golf benefit on July 19 at the Wakonda Club in Des Moines.

Proceeds from the 4-H auction benefit the 120,000 Iowa youth served by the Iowa State University Extension 4-H Youth Development program. Bidders need not be present. The two-bedroom villa is booked for Sept. 26-Oct. 3, 1999. Reservations require a winning bid submitted by 12 noon on Monday, July 19. The auction is held in conjunction with the "Going for the Green" golf tournament at Wakonda. For more information about the tournament or to bid on the Williamsburg package call the Iowa 4-H Foundation at (515) 294-1537.
