Sheep ICN Continues with Strong Program
The December Sheep Iowa Communication Network (ICN) presentation was attended by more than 200 producers at the 24 sites. Curt Youngs did an excellent job covering various aspects of sheep reproduction, according to Dan Morrical, Extension livestock specialist. Producer interest was demonstrated by the number and depth of questions.
The next Sheep ICN is schedule for Jan. 12. Joe Rook, Michigan State University Extension veterinarian, will be the featured speaker. Rook has extensive knowledge of flock health problems in the Midwest. He has conducted several on farm research efforts with Michigan producers. Rook's topics will be "Major causes of baby lamb loss" and "Strategic control of internal parasites."
