RON JONES NAMED EXTENSION DIRECTOR FOR NORTH CENTRAL IOWA
AMES, Iowa -- Ron Jones has been named area director for the North Central Iowa Extension Area, announced Stanley R. Johnson, vice provost for Iowa State University Extension. Jones will begin the position on Oct. 12.
Jones brings more than 20 years of experience to this administrative position, having worked with extension/outreach programs in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota and New York, Johnson said. His previous position was 4-H program leader with New York's Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Jones will be based at the ISU Outreach Center at North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City. The North Central Iowa Extension Area includes Cerro Gordo, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Franklin, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Webster, Winnebago, Worth and Wright counties.
