Micki joined the continuing education department of ISU Extension in October 2000. Prior to that, she worked for the Department of Statistics as the graduate student liaison and was distance ed coordinator for students at Mayo Clinic, 3M and General Motors. She holds degrees from Iowa State University: a Bachelor of Liberal Studies (Art/Education/Spanish) and a BA in Art and Design. She has six post-baccalaureate credits in visual literacy (JlMC) and technical communications (English).

She is a member of Association for Communication Excellence (ACE), the Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals of Ames (YPA) and American Advertising Federation of Des Moines (AAF). In her ‘spare time,’ she does freelance design.
