Del Marks serves as communications liaison for ISU Extension Community Economic Development staff, with emphasis on desktop publishing, Web site development and maintenance, and news distribution. He also assists in hardware and software acquisition and maintenance.

Marks holds a B.S. in technical journalism from Iowa State University and an M.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Iowa. He spent 20 years in Iowa newspaper management and ownership before joining the Extension communications unit in 1987.
