Diane Nelson

Title: Communication Specialist Additional Biographical Information: As a consulting communicator Diane helps Extension staff share research-based information by matching specific topics and audience segments to appropriate delivery methods with an emphasis on writing clarity and readable design. She has been with the department since 1979 and works primarily in the topic areas of human nutrition, food safety, and consumer horticulture. Before joining ISU, Diane was a cookbook editor for Meredith Corporation and a test kitchen home economist with Swift and Company. She has an M.S. and B.S. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University.
