Prior to joining ISU Extension in 2004, Jane was a graphic designer for the Iowa State University Instructional Technology Center. Before that, Jane was an assistant art director for a silk-screen printing company and a staff artist for a newspaper and printing company.

Jane received her BS in Advertising Design from Iowa State University. She is a member of Association for Communication Excellence (ACE), Iowa Association for Communication Technology (IACT) and Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators ((SCBWI).
