4-H CloverIowa 4-H has a new look online, and tech-savvy teens say it’s “better than Facebook.” The site includes an interactive map to help kids and teens connect with 4-H, project links, games, event calendars and an interactive networking site for members.

11/12/2009 - Iowa Delegates to 2009 National 4-H Congress Announced
Twenty-two 4-H’ers have been selected to represent Iowa as delegates for the National 4-H Congress Nov. 27 – Dec. 1 in Atlanta, Ga. Individual stories are available for delegates from Adair, Black Hawk, Buena Vista, Cass, Davis, Hamilton, Johnson, Jones, Madison, Mills, O’Brien, Plymouth, Sac, Story, Webster and Worth counties.

11/10/2009 - Pioneer Hi-Bred Pledges $150,000 to Support Iowa 4-H Youth Programs
Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business, announced a $150,000 matching gift pledge to the Iowa 4-H Foundation to support youth programs. The contribution launches the Iowa 4-H Foundation’s President’s Campaign fundraising effort.

10/22/2009 - 2009 State 4-H Project Award Winners Announced
Fifty-one Iowa 4-H'ers have earned state 4-H project awards. News stories are available about the individual 4-H'ers, listed by county.

10/22/2009 - Iowa 4-H Recognizes Monsanto Support for Volunteers
Interviewing 103 teenage 4-H members applying for state project awards takes time and dedicated adult volunteers. ISU Extension noted Monsanto's help with this round of interviews as well as ongoing support of 4-H volunteer training.

10/20/2009 - Operation: Military Kids Supports Children Affected by Deployment
Another 3,500 Iowa National Guard Soldiers will be deployed for duty in Afghanistan in fall 2010. Iowa children who will have family members deploying can get help from Operation: Military Kids.

10/20/2009 - Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Deadline Is Nov. 2
There’s still time for Iowa youth to apply for the 2010 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. The application deadline is Nov. 2 for these awards that recognize young volunteers.
