AMES, Iowa --National Poison Prevention Week, an annual event held the third week of March, is designated to highlight the dangers of poisonings and best practices on how to prevent them. Please review the information below and become actively involved in helping ensure the safety of children and adults in your home and your community.
"The common everyday items in our surroundings are often overlooked and become the agents of most poisonings," said Charles Schwab, Iowa State University Extension Safety Specialist, "and our children become the victims of those poisons."
