Boone County 4-H’er Receives Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship

AMES, Iowa – A $500 scholarship has been awarded to a Boone County 4-H member. Jacoby Bice, Woodward, received a Pioneer Community College 4-H scholarship, sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc.
Bice, a nine-year member, is the son of Rod and Missy Bice. He has been involved in the beef, photography, safety, food and nutrition and visual arts project areas and has received the spirit award at the local level. He also has served as club president and vice president.
“I have learned throughout my years in 4-H to set goals for myself and work to achieve them by using positive role models and other resources around me,” Bice said. “Record keeping and research are also important for reaching your goals.”
A current freshman at Ellsworth Community College, Bice is majoring in agribusiness with a minor in farm management.
