PQAPlus® and TQA Training Sessions Set in Pocahontas County

POCAHONTAS, Iowa -- The Iowa Pork Industry Center (IPIC) and Iowa State University (ISU) Extension are teaming up to provide training for pork producers and others who need certification in the Pork Quality Assurance Plus® (PQAPlus®) and Transport Quality Assurance (TQA) programs. One session of each program has been set for Dec. 10 in Pocahontas County.
ISU Extension swine field specialist Jerry Weiss will teach both sessions, which will be held at the Pocahontas County Extension office, 305 North Main in Pocahontas.
The PQAPlus® session is set for 10 a.m. to noon, and the TQA session will run from 1 to 3 p.m. Cost is $25, payable at the door, and participants may attend either session or both sessions, Weiss explained.
