Finalists Named for Agriculture and Life Sciences Associate Dean and ISU Extension Program Leader

AMES, Iowa -- Two finalists have been selected for the position of associate dean for the Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and director of ISU Extension to Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Candidates who will interview for the position in early December are Robert T. Burns, professor of agriculture and biosystems engineering, ISU Extension manure management specialist and director of the ISU Agricultural Waste Management Laboratory; and John D. Lawrence, professor of economics, ISU Extension livestock economist and director of the Iowa Beef Center.

Each candidate will present a 30-minute public seminar on his experience and his vision for the position, followed by a 30-minute question and answer session. The seminars will be presented as live Web broadcasts to allow participation by ISU Extension field staff and others interested.

The candidate selected for the position will replace Gerald Miller, who is stepping down from the post. Eligibility for the opening was limited to faculty members who currently hold ISU Extension appointments.
