Washington County 4-H’er Receives Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship

AMES, Iowa – A $500 scholarship has been awarded to a Washington County 4-H member. Cody Schneider, Riverside, has received a Pioneer Community College 4-H scholarship sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc.
Schneider, a nine-year member, is the son of Dan Schneider and Stephanie Leur. He has been involved in the market beef, swine, sheep and photography project areas and has received showmanship and judging honors at the local level. He also has attended the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference and served as club president and on his county 4-H council.
“4-H has given me the leadership, communications and team work skills needed to be a positive role model in society,” said Schneider.
A recent graduate of Highland High School, Schneider plans to attend Kirkwood Community College in agricultural business.
