Jefferson County 4-H Member Receives Orscheln 4-H Scholarship


AMES, Iowa – A $1,000 scholarship has been awarded to a Jefferson County 4-H member. Breanna Estle, Lockridge, has received an Orscheln 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Orscheln Farm and Home Supply Co. Inc. 

Estle, a nine-year member, is the daughter of John and Melinda Estle. She has been involved in the photography, home improvement, veterinary science, clothing and food and nutrition project areas and has received state fair recognition and the Stan Stover, achievement, outstanding horticulture and outstanding senior awards at the local level. She also has served as club president.

“4-H has taught me many things, but most importantly, it has taught me confidence, which has helped me everywhere I’ve been and everywhere I’ll go,” Estle said.

A recent graduate of Fairfield High School, she plans to attend Iowa State University to major in animal science/pre-veterinary medicine.
