Muscatine County 4-H’er Receives Orscheln 4-H Scholarship
AMES, Iowa – A $1,000 scholarship has been awarded to a Muscatine County 4-H member. Kally Boyer, Muscatine, received the Orscheln 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Orscheln Farm and Home Supply Co. Inc.
Boyer, a six-year member, is the daughter of Rick and Monika Boyer. She has been involved in the horse and pony, dog, rabbit, photography and food and nutrition project areas and has served as club president.
“4-H has shown me ways to improve my life and has given me the opportunity to improve the lives of others,” she said. “4-H also has helped me develop a strong passion in the field of agriculture, and I plan on using my passion to work toward a career in veterinary medicine.”
A recent graduate of Muscatine High School, Boyer plans to attend Iowa State University to major in animal science.
