Palo Alto County 4-H’er Receives LA–CO Circle of Champions Scholarship

AMES, Iowa – A $1,000 scholarship has been awarded to a Palo Alto County 4-H member. Jake Rouse, Curlew, received the LA–CO Circle of Champions Scholarship sponsored by LA-CO Industries Inc.

Rouse, a nine-year member, is the son of Ron and Suzanne Rouse. He was involved in the horse, communication and photography project areas and was awarded beef and leadership awards at the county level. He also served as club president and vice president and was a county, area and state 4-H council member.

“Through 4-H programs, I was able to find a career path I wanted,” said Rouse.  “I was also able to meet contacts that would help me in my future endeavors.”

An Iowa State University junior, Rouse is majoring in animal science and has been involved on campus in Block and Bridle, VEISHEA, Student Alumni Leadership Council and Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.
