Audubon County 4-H’er Receives Duroe 4-H AGR Scholarship
AMES, Iowa – A $500 scholarship has been awarded to an Audubon County 4-H member. Matt McLaughlin, Audubon, has received the Duroe 4-H Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) scholarship sponsored by the Duroe family.
McLaughlin, a nine-year member, is the son of Mark McLaughlin and Mary Grote. He was involved in the woodworking, beef and self-determined project areas. He also received the top record book award and served as club president and on his county 4-H council.
“4-H really ignited my passion for agriculture,” said McLaughlin.
An Iowa State University sophomore, McLaughlin is majoring in agricultural business and has been active on campus through the Block and Bridle Club and College of Agriculture Ambassadors.
