Adair County 4-H’er Receives Alumni 4-H Scholarship
AMES, Iowa – A $500 scholarship has been awarded to an Adair County 4-H member. Benjamin Baudler, Fontanelle, has received an Alumni 4-H scholarship sponsored by 4-H alumni contributions to the Iowa 4-H Foundation Scholarship Endowment Fund.
Baudler, a seven-year member, is the son of Clif and Sondra Baudler. He has been involved in the visual arts and child development project areas and has been awarded area and state citizenship and leadership awards. A county 4-H council member, Baudler also has attended the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
“My leadership and project experiences in 4-H and school have helped me discover my interest in business, especially in the area of marketing,” he said. “There are many opportunities for business majors in Iowa, and I plan to continue to live in and give back to my Iowa community after graduation.”
A recent graduate of Nodaway Valley High School, Baudler plans to attend the University of Northern Iowa in business marketing.
In Iowa, the 4-H program is a part of Iowa State University Extension and headquartered on the ISU campus in Ames. For more information about 4-H, how to get involved or how to apply for a 4-H scholarship contact the local county office of ISU Extension.
