AMES, Iowa -- Eight acts have been chosen to perform during Alumni 4-H’ers Got Talent, Thursday, Aug. 13 at the Iowa State Fair. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage of the 4-H Exhibits Building.
“This is our second annual performing arts show featuring 4-H alumni,” said Shelly Greving, marketing coordinator for the Iowa 4-H Foundation. “We’ve got talent in all ages, shapes and forms. As long as the individual performer or at least one member of a group is a former 4-H’er, just about anything goes.”
From Chickasaw County: Flute solo by former 4-H’er Luann Copper with piano accompaniment by Marialynn Rusch
From Franklin County: Vocal solo by former 4-H’er Dani Dohlman
From Iowa County: Piano solo by former 4-H’er Monica Miller
From Iowa County: Vocal solo by former 4-H’er Meagan Rodgers
From Page County: Country solo by former 4-H’er Tyler Beery
From Plymouth County: Artistic paper plate cuttings by 4-H alumni Mitchell and Donna Zenk, along with Fred Zenk, Leo Valdez and Ana Garcia
From Sioux County: Vocal duet by 4-H alumni Abby Sheppard and Katie Leusink
Multi-county performance: Lip sync/dance by 1999-2001 State 4-H Council Members (organized by Jane Stalter, former Adair County 4-H’er, and Ashley Dierenfeld, former Worth County 4-H’er)
