Mills County 4-H'er Earns Beef Project Award

AMES, Iowa – Joshua Graalfs of Mills County received a state 4-H beef project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Graalfs is the son of John and Karen Deitchler of Glenwood.
A five-year member, he has been active in both the market and breeding beef project areas at the local and state level. Graalfs also has served as secretary and treasurer of his 4-H club.
“4-H has given me the opportunity to try new things, meet new people and grow in areas I would not have previously had the chance to,” he said.
