Sac County 4-H'er Earns Citizenship Project Award
AMES, Iowa – Amy Peyton of Sac County received a state 4-H citizenship project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Peyton, 19, is the daughter of Harold and Sue Peyton of Sac City.
During 10 years in 4-H, Peyton has completed several major projects including citizenship, leadership, communications, home improvement and clothing. She has received awards for top record book, educational presentations, top clothing and citizenship. Peyton has served as president, secretary and reporter of her local 4-H club. She also served on county 4-H council, area 4-H council, state 4-H council, the National 4-H Conference, National 4-H Congress, the Iowa 4-H Technology team and the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
Peyton is a freshman at Iowa State University.
