Sioux County 4-H'er Earns Leadership Project Award

AMES, Iowa – Katie Leusink of Sioux County received a state 4-H leadership project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Leusink, 18, is the daughter of Bill and Elaine Leusink of Hawarden.
During her nine years in 4-H, Leusink has been active in the sheep, cattle, clothing, communication and home improvement project areas. She has received a state project award in clothing and an outstanding 4-Her award, achievement award and merit award at the local level. A county 4-H council member, Leusink has served as president and vice president of her club and has attend the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
She is a freshman at Southwestern Community College in Creston.
