Howard County 4-H'er Earns Citizenship Project Award

AMES, Iowa – Maddi Friedrich of Howard County received a state 4-H citizenship project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Friedrich, 16, is the daughter of Rod and Toni of Alta Vista.
An eight-year member, she has received local awards in the citizenship, leadership, communications, horse and clothing project areas. She has also been awarded a state seal of excellence for a presentation and working exhibit. A county, area and state council member, Friedrich has served on her county youth committee and as treasurer, secretary, historian, reporter and recreation leader of her club. She has attended the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
Friedrich is a junior at Ivanhoe Christian Academy.
