Franklin County 4-H'er Earns Clothing Project Award
AMES, Iowa – Taylor Collins of Franklin County received a state 4-H clothing project award that includes a $100 savings bond from Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Collins, 19, is the daughter of Chad and Dawn Collins of Hampton.
During nine years in 4-H, Collins has completed several major projects including clothing, photography, communications, child development, and food and nutrition. She has received the Seal of Merit Extemporaneous Speaking and Seal of Excellence for working exhibit at the state level. Along with these, Collins has received awards for outstanding record book keeping at the local level. She has served as president, vice-president and secretary of her local 4-H club.
Collins is a freshman at the University of Northern Iowa.
