Tama County 4-H'er Earns Beef Project Award
AMES, Iowa – David Bruene of Tama County received a state 4-H beef project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Bruene, 17, is the son of Jeff and Cheryl Bruene of Gladbrook.
An eight-year 4-H member, he has participated in and received county project awards in the beef, swine, photography, crops and soils and small engine areas. Bruene has also served as president, treasurer and reporter of his 4-H club and co-chair and treasurer of the county 4-H council. He has attended the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference three times.
Bruene is a senior at Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School.
