Palle Pedersen on patience during planting season -- ISU Extension soybean agronomist Palle Pedersen says the planting season in Iowa has been frustrating with all of the rain and delays, but he says patience is still a virtue.
Elwynn Taylor on La niña and corn and soybean yield -- Iowa State University Extension climatologist Elwynn Taylor says La niña is still in place and points to the potential for a less than trend line yield for corn and soybean in 2008. He says as of April 25, 2008, the number would be 142 bushels per acre for corn.
