William Edwards on the March 17 deadline for 2008 crop insurance -- Iowa State University Extension economist William Edwards says crop insurance will be more costly in 2008 as commodity prices rise. The deadline to make any changes is March 17, 2008.

Palle Pedersen on the Commodity Classic in Nashville -- Iowa State University Extension soybean agronomist Palle Pedersen was in attendance at the recently held Commodity Classic in Nashville, Tenn. He says farmers are in a good mood these days as record prices are being set in both corn and soybean.  Also in attendance was Gordon Waasenaar, a corn farmer and sitting member of the Iowa Corn Promotion Board of Directors.
