AMES, Iowa – Iowa State University Extension climatologist Elwynn Taylor, program specialist Rich Pope and corn agronomist Roger Elmore discuss the latest USDA crop planting report that showed a reduction of nearly 400,000 acres of corn planted in Iowa since the March Planting Intentions Report.
The latest Iowa Crops and Weather report indicates 53 percent of the corn and 56 percent of the soybean crops are in good to excellent condition as of Sunday, June 29, 2008.
