Conference Links Land Management and Water Quality

AMES, Iowa – Iowa agriculture is constantly changing and those changes impact Iowa’s environment and water resources. The Iowa Water Conference will focus on current topics in agriculture, biofuels and water management. This year’s theme is “Linking Land Management and Water Quality.”

 

The Iowa Water Conference will be held Feb. 26 and 27 in the Scheman Building at Iowa State Univeristy (ISU) in Ames. Registration opens at 2:30 p.m. A joint plenary session with the Iowa Water Monitoring Conference will run until 5 p.m. with a receoption to follow. Sessions continue the next day  from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 

The program features multiple plenary sessions and working sessions during the course of the two-day conference. There will also be displays and posters featuring on-going research, programs and projects in conservation, nutrient management and water quality.

The registration fee is $50 if received by Feb. 21 and $65 thereafter. Registrations will be accepted at the door. The fee includes lunches, breaks and the evening reception.
